ABSTRACT
The example here illustrates results obtained for a haematomorphology exercise. The distributed slide will typically have been examined by a clinician as well as the laboratory scientists as this would be the normal practice for examination of a strikingly abnormal blood film. Emphasis is on recording observations rather than making a diagnosis, though participants are encouraged to offer a diagnosis.
