ABSTRACT
This chapter describes the typical applications of braided composite materials in the aerospace eld, such as part of airplane fuselages, stator vanes, and rotor blades (mostly for helicopters). To explain the advantages of such a new technology, this chapter also describes materials, process tools, cost-saving concepts, basic concepts of design, and a list of main structural analysis computer codes used for this purpose.
