ABSTRACT
Sensei is a Japanese term that refers to a teacher with a mastery of the discipline. Think of a sensei as a seasoned attending for the Lean discipline, a person with deep and broad knowledge and deep personal experience. Some have interpreted the term to mean, “One who has traveled the path before.” This clearly is not the old house staff model of “See one, do one, teach one.”
