ABSTRACT
Smoke control can be provided by smoke barriers, natural vents, or mechanical systems. Design of the smoke control system takes into account a number of different methodologies and design considerations. Wind, stack effect, location of openings, buoyancy of re gases, building ambient temperatures, and building tightness are all considered relative to their potential impact on smoke movement throughout the building.
