11.1 Introduction No matter which approach is deployed for improvement teams in any organization, the team will need to know what is expected of them. That is where standard improvement processes like DMAIC and design for Six Sigma (DFSS) are of great help because it provides the team with a road map. Several sources provide knowledge about DMAIC. The purpose of this book is to focus on Lean Six Sigma (LSS) processes implementing DMAIC and DFSS methodologies using efcient tools that are helpful and also provide a clear picture of how to implement an improvement program in any organization. Finally, case studies are illustrated on how these tools are deployed effectively in Six Sigma projects.
