ABSTRACT
High-and ultrahigh-speed water jets have been and are still currently used in industry for various purposes. Table 3.1 (Summers 1995) reports the pressures and flow rates for some of the most common applications, such as rock cutting (Farmer and Attewell 1965) and metal cleaning (Conn and Gracey 1988; Momber and Kovacevic 1997).
