ABSTRACT
Figure 13.2 suggests that the current flake inventory (7.5 days) is in the right ballpark for the current 8-day polymerization campaign cycle. However, there is no reason for a cycle that long; changeovers are very quick, and there are no changeover losses. A 2-day cycle appears very feasible, which will allow a significant inventory reduction.
