ABSTRACT

The Relevance of Lessons Learned in Micropolitan Cities to Those That Are Small and Isolated The research conducted for The Economic Viability of Micropolitan America revealed lessons that were consistent across many of the seventy community case studies. Of course, variations were evident from one location to the next, but overall, it was possible to make several assertions about what enables or retards the growth of the local economies in cities of that size, given their distance from larger urban areas.
