ABSTRACT

9.1 Introduction

This chapter will deal with the assembly known as insulated glass windows (I-G). The assembly is made by sealing two panes of glass to a desiccant filled aluminum spacer (Figure 9.1). The desiccant in the spacer reduces the dew point of the air in the space between the two panes. This prevents condensation on the interior side of the exterior pane of glass.
