The polynomial sets illustrated in this chapter are treated in detail in Abramowitz 1 or Beyer. 2 Because efficient calculation of the curves is achieved by using the recurrence relations given in these references, the relations are repeated here for anyone who may wish to generate the curves for their own purposes.
