ABSTRACT

Multiferroic composites allow us to choose components with large piezoelectric and magnetostrictive coe cients, so the resulting materials exhibit superior multiferroic properties and magnetoelectric (ME) couplings. In Chapter 6, bulk composites have been discussed. Here we focus on multiferroic nanocomposites, in three dierent thin-lm forms, that is, nanoparticles in matrix (0-3 type), bilayers or multilayers (2-2 type), and vertically aligned nanocomposites (1-3 type).
