ABSTRACT
Recall that Aut(V5) ∼= PSL2(C) and AutA5(V5) ∼= A5 (see Proposition 7.1.10). The purpose of this chapter is to describe two A5-Sarkisov links that both start and end with V5 (see §11.4). The first link and AutA5(V5) generate a subgroup in BirA5(V5) isomorphic to S5. The second link and AutA5(V5) generate a subgroup in Bir
A5(V5) isomorphic to A5 × µ2. Together these two subgroups generate a subgroup in BirA5(V5) isomorphic to S5 × µ2. We will see later in Chapter 18 that BirA5(V5) coincides with this subgroup.
