ABSTRACT
Abstract: A new stoichiometric approach was pres ented, and it was applied to the data by typical gas ification processes. This approach is based on a stoi chiometric analysis in the overall reaction formula of CHmOn + αO2 + βH2O → γH2 + δCO + εCO2 + ηCH4. Using the
reported data of demonstration researches, basic stoichio metric relationship was described to show the principle of coal gasification governing composition of product gas, carbon conversion, and heat efficiency under the condi tions such as coal composition and gasifying agents.
