ABSTRACT

Abstract: A new stoichiometric approach was  pres ­ ented, and it was applied to the data by typical gas ification processes. This approach is based on  a  stoi chiometric analysis in the overall reaction formula of CHmOn  + αO2 + βH2O → γH2 + δCO + εCO2 + ηCH4. Using the

reported data of demonstration researches, basic stoichio­ metric relationship was described to show the principle of coal gasification governing composition of product gas, carbon conversion, and heat efficiency under the condi­ tions such as coal composition and gasifying agents.
