ABSTRACT
The initial work on the competencies for facilitators began in 1991. IAF published “Facilitator Competencies” in Group Facilitation: A Research and Applications Journal in Winter 2000 (vol. 2, no. 2). Also published at that time were several commentaries by IAF members with suggestions for further refinement. This revision, for the purpose of certification, was completed in February 2003.
