6.1 THE INFLUENCE OF COMPOSITION OF THIOKOL SEALANTS ON THEIR STABILITY DURING PRE-USE STORAGE
Polysulfide oligomer sealants (PSO) are highly gas-proof. Their designed set of properties remains after curing even if curing agent dosage deviates largely from its optimal value. Sealant components are satisfactory stable during pre-use storage. The curing rate of PSO sealants is highly sensitive to air humidity on the one hand, while final properties of sealant are fully insusceptible to it on the other hand.
