ABSTRACT
The most interesting feature of the data in Example 2.1 is the difference in the rankings given by the two groups of women. This chapter deals with formal tests of such differences. The tools used here are analogs of those in Chapter 3 for testing uniformity. In later chapters we explore modeling the differences.
