17.1 INTRODUCTION

The majority of known methods of calculation and designing of whirlwind apparatuses for conducting of processes of separation are based on methods of laboratory modeling and similarity theory. Such approach considerably narrows possibilities of designers at sampling constructive and operating conditions of the gas-cleaning installations intended for the solution of this or that technological problem, demands the big experimental works, occupies a lot of time, and not always can secure necessary level of accuracy of calculations.
