ABSTRACT

The concluding chapter of this security book aims to forecast the future security patterns by examining the global trade markets, especially the rapidly growing economies. Other chapters have duly covered the future trends of terrorism, piracy, cyber security, illegitimate trade and transport, human trafficking, and so on. This chapter will aim to reveal the security threats by examining the global economic and trade patterns. In particular, a focus on the rapidly developing economies will reveal the potential security threats associated with a change of trade patterns, new trade agreements, and any economic or military consortiums that may change the current trade and transportation routes.
