ABSTRACT
Transportation may be broadly defined as the flow of people, commodities, information, or services from a certain area to another, be it by sea, by land, by air, by pipelines, or digitally (i.e., the Internet). On the other hand, logistics is the management of transportation and encompasses the efficient procurement, inventory management, and data management; shipment; handling of materials; packaging and labeling; warehousing; and distribution.
