ABSTRACT
This chapter aims reveal the utility of the Amesim software in solving multiphysics problems. Amesim is a simulation environment that, as many others, offers an advanced user interface for building representations of engineering systems. One of the main advantages of Amesim is the ease of prototyping for determining baseline values. From the models offered by the Amesim producers to demonstrate the capabilities of the program, one has been chosen that allows the sizing of components from an electrical vehicle. Amesim offers a multitude of models for vehicles, ranging from simple to very complex. Two main aspects are being studied: dynamics, by analyzing parameters such as acceleration, power, speed, and comfort, which requires a structural analysis. Amesim uses blocks that transform the input signals into actual physical measurements, the validity of the transformation being the responsibility of the user.
