ABSTRACT

From the control theory point of view, the hydraulic turbine together with the power generator represents the controlled system that determines, depending on its functions, the performance requirements for the frequency and power control systems. The hydraulic panel of the speed governors uses high-speed two-stage proportional flow valves manufactured by Bosch Group. The synthesis of the two speed governors, approved by the national authority in the field, was very much aided by the numerical simulation and the Real-Time simulations performed by Amesim. As a high-level modeling and simulation language, Amesim easily allowed the building of a very detailed model of the electrohydraulic servomechanism without requiring an explicit mathematical model for the system. A detailed model of a high-power servomechanism containing a two-stage nonlinear electrohydraulic proportional valve was designed in a simulation environment taking into account the real geometry of the metering spool windows.
