ABSTRACT
In this chapter we consider optomechanical systems that comprise more than one bulk mechanical element. This could include the case of more than one mechanical element coupled to a single intracavity mode, or even coupled arrays of distinct optomechanical systems. The generic phenomenon we will be interested in is synchronisation. Some examples of optomechanical arrays are illustrated in Fig. 9.1.
