ABSTRACT
The ES&H organization plays a vital role in the success of the company in achieving its goal and mission. Whether the company is tasked with building automobiles, constructing a factory or home, operating a manufacturing or chemical business, or conducting research and development, the primary mission of the company cannot be achieved without each organization performing its specific functions, including ES&H. Within the company ES&H not only supports the day-to-day operations, but also is heavily involved with the following:
• Cost-saving initiatives • Reducing workers’ compensation costs and potential legal liability • Assisting the company in being competitive in its safety and envi-
ronmental statistics • Improving the overall working environment for workers
Just as an ES&H organization is the backbone to performing work in a safe and compliant manner, the program support group of the ES&H organization serves as the cornerstone to program development and field implementation.
