ABSTRACT
Given the potentially serious consequences of decompression sickness (DCS), it is not surprising that divers pay great heed to means of preventing it. ese preventive measures can be broadly classied into two categories: the appropriate control of depth and time exposures using dive tables or computers and the amelioration of putative risk factors for DCS. Both are discussed in this chapter.
