data quality, whether the quality varies from place to place and so forth. This is because there is no real benchmark to gauge the data against, other than at a coarsely aggregate level (coarse both spatially and temporally). Despite these difficulties, research has suggested that geographically sensi­ tive aggregation of lifestyle data can produce results that at least appear consistent with information obtained from other data sources (Frost and Harris 2001).
