M a n y factors c a n affect the efficiency of a preconcent ra t ion procedure , a n d the more i m p o r t a n t of these are d i scussed b e l o w b y means of i l lus t ra t ive examples c o n c e r n i n g different preconcent ra t ion techniques. O n e v e r y impor t an t factor to be borne i n m i n d w h e n a p p l y i n g preconcent ra t ion procedures is the con t r ibu t ion m a d e to the f ina l ana ly t i ca l result b y concentrat ions of the element to be de t e rmined present i n the reagents u s e d i n the ana lys is .
