ABSTRACT
One of the peculiar effect of R E additions to M g and its alloys is commonly an increase of
plasticity at near room temperatures. The increase of M g plasticity resulting from R E is
observed already at comparatively small additions of them (even less than 1 mass %) and
continues commonly with increasing the R E contents up to certain limits.
