ABSTRACT

TYS(Ob.i) = 271 M P a , E = 4.5%. The alloy M g - 1 . 3 6 N d - 2 . 4 2 A g - 0 . 6 Z r was

successively forged, solution treated by quenching from 530°C and aged at 200°C for 8 h.

This alloy showed TS = 337 M P a , TYS(Ob.i) = 306 M P a , E = 4%. Nevertheless, some

alloys showed rather low strength properties. There was also a notable anisotropy of the

strength properties in the forgings obtained. The properties in the longitudinal direction

were more than twice as high as those in the transverse direction [356].
