To provide an overall cost comparison, rates, prices and outputs have been based on a medium sized Civil Engineering project of £5-6 million, location
excessively remote, with no abnormal ground conditions that would affect the stated output and consistency of work produced. The rates are optimum rates and assume continuous output with no delays caused by other operations or works.
