ABSTRACT
Reinforced concrete is a versatile, economical and successful construction material. It can be moulded to a variety of shapes and finishes. In most cases it is durable and strong, performing well throughout its service life. However, in some cases it does not perform adequately due to poor design, poor construction, inadequate materials selection, a more severe environment than anticipated or a combination of these factors.
