ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: Since Dr. Otto Nordenskjöld, leadership of the Swedish South Polar Expedition, first stepped on shore at Penguin Point, Seymour Island, 100 years have passed. The discoveries of the last three decades have shown how visionary his statement about the importance of Seymour Island and the surrounding islands has been in the evolution of the biota in the Gondwana.
