ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses the behaviour and effects of wastewater, its interactions with the urban water cycle, and its monitoring requirements. Given the close relationship between wastewater and stormwater, this chapter should be read in conjunction with the chapters on stormwater (Chapter 17) and combined sewers (Chapter 18).
