ABSTRACT

Because most design changes during construction work

were due to the environmental impact of ground vibra-

tion and noise, the level of ground vibration was chosen

as one of the major parameters considered in the design

of the drilling and blasting pattern. Inspection of nearby

structures and the safety limit for ground vibration for

these structures give an allowable level to be controlled

in construction blasting. A charge weight per delay is

then determined from the allowable level and predic-

tive equation of blast-induced ground vibration.
