ABSTRACT

In day-to-day underground construction, shotcrete composition has to be frequently adapted in order to answer to changing needs. Mix design, however, is a complicated task since, chemically speaking; shotcrete represents a high-tech material. This raises the need for a portable and fast tool that providing engineers with a practical shotcrete mix resulting in a material that meets application-specific requirements. Such mix design software is the topic of this report. This software has been designed both for actual shotcrete applications as well as for the new technologies developed in the framework of TUNCONSTRUCT Project (SP 2). The following high tech shotcrete technologies have been studied and considered in the following innovations: New materials components, new mixes to be applied to underground construction, new Special Superplasticizer and Nozzle Accelerator, new SM Automation of Shotcrete machine and new Admixture Dosing unit. We are describing the development and basics of the software application and include: 1) Mix design rules program (MDR), 2) Shotcrete mix design (SMD), 3) Validation factor (RER).
