ABSTRACT: Impedance based methods are of a big importance for measurements of bio logical tissues because o f the possibility to get detailed information and to realize online measurement systems at low costs. One essential part for this purpose is the study of the effects which are related to electrode geometry considering distance between electrodes and length embedded into the sample. After experimental investigations, a model based evalua tion was carried out considering distributed parameter effects. The results show, that deeply inserted electrodes into the sample, which are located close to each other, give the most stable values for model parameters such as the resistive series element (RF) and the capacitive ele ment (C J. Geometry changes do not have any influence on the charge transfer resistance.
