Commonly used single-storey and medium-rise reinforced concrete framed structures are shown in Fig. 13.1. Tall multistorey buildings are discussed in Chapter 14. Only cast-in-situ rigid jointed frames are dealt with, but the structures shown in the figure could also be precast.
