ABSTRACT

The analytical model is as shown in Fig. 3. The finite element method (elastic analysis) is applied here. The waterproof membrane and asphalt concrete layer is assumed to be on a rigid deck (RC deck slab) with a composition such as; total depth: 7cm, asphalt concrete layer: 6.8cm, membrane layer: 2mm and 5mm, width: 50cm. The rear tires of a heavy vehicle with a total weight of 9tf. is assumed to act directly on the asphalt concrete layer. The asphalt concrete and membrane layers are considered to be visco-elastic bodies and since the modulus of elasticity varies with temperature, the modulus of elasticity for asphalt concrete, Ea and modulus of elasticity for resin, Er are taken as parameters in the analysis.
