ABSTRACT
Figure 5 shows the test set-up. Symmetrical loads are statically applied to the beam. The distance between the supports is 3 m and that between the loading points is 0.85 m. Purpose made supports and loading apparatus whose faces are one quarter circle so as to contact with the beam at right angle with thin rubber sheets. Loads are applied by a manually operated hydraulic jack with monotonous increase in 20 kN.
