Those mechanical and physical properties of mortars for patch repair which may be of significance to the subsequent structural behaviour of the repaired member have been identified. Where possible existing standard methods of test have been used to measure these properties. Elsewhere new or revised methods have been developed. In the case of flexural strength, flexural modulus and creep in compression the methods have been submitted to the relevant British Standard Institution committee for public comment.
