ABSTRACT

In these tests, the base coat membrane was left exposed in the open facing south at an angle of 45° for a period of 10 years. At this orientation, the coatings were exposed to the most severe solar radiation, the annual mean radiation (in Langley) over a five year period being the following: Ultraviolet 6,155.8

The test specimens were dumb-bell shaped and 1mm thick and were tested in tension at regular intervals.
