ABSTRACT
Insufficient durability of concrete structures has become a serious problem. One of the most important parameters influencing the durability of concrete, in particular that portion which provides protection to reinforcement, is its permeability. Permeability of concrete determines the ease with which gases, liquids and dissolved deleterious substances such as carbon dioxide or oxygen or chloride ions, can penetrate the concrete.
