ABSTRACT

Looking at the load-displacement curves one can notice that the behaviour of the two beams is similar up to the decompression load. The small difference is due mainly to the different lay-out of the prestressing strand. At the ultimate state the externally prestressed beam reaches an ultimate load and displacement lower than the bonded one.
