ABSTRACT
Current animal expenditure in the United Kingdom on repairs maintenance and improvements generally within the construction industry is of the order of £15 billion. Of this approximately £500 million is attributable to the repair of concrete members. Despite this large expanding market little fundamental research has been carried out on the structural implications of property mismatch between patch repair materials and the substrate reinforced concrete.
