ABSTRACT
This chapter is a short introduction to the stiffness method. Since the readers are likely to be familiar with the stiffness method, the objective is to give a brief introduction to the method so that the reader will be familiar with the notation, expressions for stiffness and mass matrices used in the programs and the meaning of certain terms used in the programs.
