ABSTRACT
Quality assurance proceduies practiced in the research centers of the aluminium industry keep product quality at an unvarying level. An arrav of established test methods provide standardized values of physical and mechanical properties often quoted in brochures, handbooks and codes. Design recommendations furthermore identifv "standard" alloys and provide characteristic 01 design values foi seveial limit state assessments of structural components.
