ABSTRACT
All the above aspects should be considered in a reliability based framework. The problem discussed in the following concerns, then, the identification of a methodology for producing by testing M-$ curves characterized by a defined safety level. The professional context concerned with this problem is fairly wide, including:
t design of a major structure;
• production of a standardized industrial system;
• use of a database, to be tuned to the specific context by means of a limited number of
experiments;
• calibration of codes.
