ABSTRACT
Seventy per cent of the total savings comes from reduced transport costs, 20% from the lower cost of materials and 10% from avoided dumping costs. In this comparison, the average distance from the job to the waste dump and the extraction site for the new material was 15 and 35 km respectively.
