ABSTRACT

I n order to answer the question, to what extent concrete blocks made with crushed masonry complied with the Dutch s p e c i f i c a t i o n s f o r concrete blocks, a s e r i e s of t e s t s were made using b r i c k rubble, crushed l i g h t w e i g h t concrete and n a t u r a l sand and g r a v e l as aggregate. I n t h i s s e r i e s the concretes were a l l produced with 235 kg/m3 of b l a s t f u r n a c e s l a g cement, c l a s s A, Z 35 according to the Dutch cement s p e c i f i c a t i o n s .
