ABSTRACT
Cable-bands play an important role in transmitting the tension of hanger ropes to the main cable, and the cable-band is held to the main cable with the tension of the cableband bolts. The cable-band bolt tension generally decreases with the passage of time. Consequently bolt tension control becomes very important as it is necessary to retighten cable-band bolts which have lost their original tension. To date, however, bolt tensions have been measured several times at optional intervals and retightened as required.
