Noise Control by Room Treatment

Objectives The objectives in attempting to reduce the general noise level by room treatment may be: a) To reduce noise affecting staff below statutory, advised or desired

limits. b) To improve communication, i.e. to allow direct speech

communication between staff (e.g. for instructions or warning of imminent danger), and to improve attention to P/A, telephone, fire warning bells or other electro-acoustic systems.
